The Brides is a series created by Patrícia Colmenero. The series is in development and the pilot will be shot in January 2025.

Writer & Director
IBrazilian multidisciplinary artist based in New York, working across film, performance, and literature to illuminate the untold narratives of women. With a background in Brazilian literature and linguistics, Patrícia holds a master's and Ph.D. in Film, and an MFA from Feirstein Graduate School of Cinema. An AAUW fellow known for her research on women's experiences, she has also been honored four times by Brazil's arts fund.Her 2012 novel, Porque até a morte terei fome, marks her career's start. Patrícia's short films, including There Were Sirens in Cerrado, Tiger Hour, and Holy Happiness, have been featured in international festivals. Her upcoming feature, In the Belly of the Whale, debuting in 2024, signifies her shift to full-length narratives and a major career milestone.

Executive Producer
Babi Facioli (she/they) is a Brazilian actor, writer, and producer based in New York, with a rich background in film and a growing presence in television. She has contributed to numerous film projects and recently expanded her creative repertoire to include writing for TV, where her unique perspective continues to gain recognition. As the founder of Samambaia Films, one of her proudest accomplishments, Babi is committed to bringing diverse voices and fresh storytelling to the screen, aiming to make a meaningful impact on the industry.
